This is quite possibly my biggest irritation with our "enlightened" liberals here in the US. I very rarely hear any sort of actual argument or even fact based opinion from them. I immediately get called racist, fascist, Nazi, and bigot. Just because I think things like teaching children that math was "appropriated" by oppressing people, and is therefore suspect, or that anyone under the age of consent shouldn't be allowed to have gender reassignment surgery, regardless of what their parents say, are bad.
The complete lack of a moral compass, or even just a little common sense, displayed by our more outspoken left leaning friends honestly scares me. And these are the people educating our future leaders. When people like Saul Alinsky and Howard Zinn are better known than most of our founding fathers, and are held up as role models, there is something seriously wrong with the system. It's upsetting to me that Dr. King's wish for the people of this country, and for that matter the world, is being subverted by the very institutions he exhorted to raise up a generation wiser than the last. I honestly hope that the minority communities see that the party that claims to support them is actually holding them back. Giving them a hand out, not a hand up, as the saying goes.
Some day, probably long after it's too late, people will realize that by taking that hand out and being docile, they're actually hurting their communities and teaching their children to be dependent on a government that only wants them to submit. When there is no incentive to improve themselves, they remain subservient to their new masters. But let's DEFINITELY talk about reparations. I just wonder how many more empty promises will be accepted before there's a change...
