I can not fully express how refreshing it is to be part of a community in which all view points can be heard and weighed. I believe this is a substantial factor in truly enabling one to exercise discernment. I must admit I'm still not certain where I stand on many things yet I do know that I have been rather discontented by the trivial manner in which both media and educational systems in the west have relayed information to both audiences and students alike. I fear I am not in the least an eloquent speaker or writer and don't have much to contribute at this stage. However I do hope to have the opportunity to be privy to a broader range of input than that we have been currently restricted to. This I believe is mostly in part due to the deliberate silencing of certain perspectives that don't seem to fit the preconceived narratives of a growing faction of people who are adamant that only their ideas and opinions should be heard. I hope one day to be able to share for now though my goal is to learn.
