So. This is what getting older is like? Constantly looking back at your failings and mistakes of your past and wincing, feeling stupid and low and regretful for it? No wonder people dread getting older. Thankfully, I'm still in good physical health, occasional lower back issues notwithstanding. But I'm just having one of those days where I can't seem to stop thinking of how dumb ass I was as a youth. I suspect I'm not the only one here who has this issue?

Took me a long time to learn that “What if?” and “If only.” Don’t exist. All my dumb choices brought me to exactly where I am, and that’s ok by me.

I have had some moments like that. Such as wondering where I would have been had I stayed in Texas and learned all I could have from my uncle. But I tend to spend nostalgia moments thinking about the folks who have passed away. I have quite a few ghosts from my past and they like to visit quite often.
