Genetically modified embryos and ethics-
[reason.com]

This is a topic I seldom ever hear being discussed, yet this technology is advancing rapidly. Then again, I suspect there are alot of people out there who would lose it as soon as they hear the words genetic modification, and thus make no effort to fully understand this technology. Curious to see what feedback this post may receive. I can say this much... had such technology existed decades ago and if my parents would have looked into it, I might not have been a type 1 diabetic. Just an example there, can't undo the past but the future might be promising for some of those yet to be born who have diseases such as diabetes and cancers in their bloodline.

This is already happening where they succesfully edit the genes of a embryo to resist HIV. CRISPR technology. The "Doctor" that did this I believe has dissapeared.
