What are your thoughts on NATO?

Just watched the former Prime Minister or Norway, current Secretary General of NATO on Andrew Marr. I think he comes across incredibly well and manages to navigate a difficult position. There seems to be some very impressive politicians in Europe, particularly in Scandinavia and Germany.
