The Liberal left have, with some success put society on the back foot by claiming the moral high ground.
Moves towards more tolerant societies and commitment to free speech has been highjacked by the more extreme elements to further their beliefs. Positive Discrimination got a bad name because, ultimately, it’s just another form of discrimination so it has been repackaged as Diversity and imposed as a caricature of what it is sold as. Accusations of being racist are thrown at anyone with whom the zealots disagree and anyone not left wing is accused of being fascist.
In reality the true bigotry lies with these zealots who use these terms to intimidate and embarrass others in order to normalise their views and marginalise the views of others.
Unless these people are outed for what they are real attempts at tolerance and inclusion will fail with people being pushed further apart. Is there any real hope of this happening?
