So how do you define:
Socialist vs Leftist vs Radical Leftist vs Anti-Americanism

Ostensibly, socialism is an economic theory which holds that the means of production and distribution of all goods and services should be communally owned. Private property would be abolished. A distinction is often made between socialism and communism by calling the latter a political system based on the principles of socialism, but thus far it has never been demonstrated that the end goals of socialism can be achieved without a massively repressive state to enforce them. Communism has sometimes been called socialism in a hurry.

One thing socialists like to argue is that true socialism has never been tried. To that I would agree. The reason is that it is impossible. Humans simply aren’t wired that way. The idealists would say that’s due to greed; hence the origin of leftist guilt-tripping. Fuck ‘em. There has been no more vicious expression of evil than the central tenant of socialism: From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs.

The left is inherently anti-American by definition. This country was founded on principles antithetical to Marx, first among them, the primacy of the individual’s rights over any notion of group rights, and the sanctity of private property. Both these ideals are enshrined in our founding documents and free market capitalism is the inevitable system that evolves from them. The notion of a patriotic leftist is a contradiction.

Understand that any philosophy of the left will have a socialist heart, regardless of how it’s dressed up on the outside. Every governmental program, in one way or another, assumes that it is correct and proper to confiscate assets from one group and give them to another. The only difference in a leftist and a radical leftist is in the amount of money they feel they have a right to steal. The end game is poverty for all, since the producers of society will tire of being forced to produce for the good of others and will simply stop. Or they will accept slavery.

“The problem with socialists is that eventually they run out of other people’s money.”
—Margaret Thatcher

A socialists are mentally deficient individuals who are aware of their own mediocrity and inability to compete socially with others in their community and wish to level the playing field through violent force.

I'm unable to decipher these categories. All leftists are radical and all socialists are Anti-American as far as I can tell. Are all leftists socialists? I tend to think so. I find many libertarians to be leftist though they claim to not be socialists they are Anti-American. Anti-American sentiment aligns all of these players against conservatives.

A condition caused by a mental deficiency and an overwhelming need to virtue signal in order to convince themself that they are superior to others, both intellectually and morally. There is no cure.

Socialist believes in socialism, most members on here know what socialism is.

Leftist and radical left are often referred to respectively as liberal and progressive, and contrary to what some may believe there is a difference between the two. Liberal means one who defends liberty (hence where the word liberal is derived from) and tends to question societal norms. Liberal does not automatically mean one who would support a socialist system, as the Founding fathers would have been considered quite liberal for their day having stood up to British tyranny and advocated for ideas that the British would have considered radical. Progressive on the other hand focuses more on a collectivist mentality as opposed to an individualist one that conservatives and classic liberals alike support. Progressivism is fueled by political correctness, which is a mentality derived from believing the government can and should interfere in private/social affairs and regulate when necessary. The progressive brand is also anti-american, as they are opposed to the politics of a constitutional republic (which the US is) in favor of democracy. Hope that answered your query. Nothing in the history of the USA has been more dangerous than the collectivist politically correct mentality of the progressive left.

well said. I would normally be labeled as a "conservative" thinker" - in todays parlance that is.
I think of myself (or should I say I like to think of myself) as a liberal thinker. Like Dave Rubin and others I like to keep an open mind to others ideas - so much depends on how those ideas are conveyed or presented.
I will use my own judgement based upon my life experience and erudition and formal education to decide if those ideas have value or not. To me that is a liberal way to be; as I usually side with ideas and mores that are Christian based and as I hold the Bill of Rights (the 1st amendment especially) to be the most important concept that informs my thinking I can see why observers might say I look, act and talk like a Conservative. Right isn't always right and Left isn't always bad - more or less Ha!

@iThink if you are using facts and logic to draw your conclusions on issues you are a Conservative. A Liberal would decide on their emotions, logic plays no role.
