You're not alone on that one.

I've often wondered just how much knowledge has been lost. I think humanity may well be much older than we think and perhaps we've risen to heights we can no longer remember. I know that sounds crazy but.....we lost the knowledge of cement for almost a 1000 years after the Roman Empire fell. Cement!! How the hell did that happen? And what might have happened 10,000 years ago?

@Boardwine I too believe humanity is far older than we realize. Other sources of knowledge that were most likely lost to the ages after the burning, was the history of the continents Atlantis and Lemuria, the former of which was said to be technologically advanced for the times.
