Feds ground 800 drones over fears about Chinese made technology...

Should have given the manufacturing to American workers in American factory's then!
Valid points. Maybe we are grounding drones and refusing to use computer chips and peripherals as a technological “Cold War” move against China. Or maybe there is an actual threat that is classified for good reasons. It comes down to risk analysis.
Risk analysis considers different things
Consider which is a more likely existential threat to the US government (very grave), the US government or the Chinese government
Consider, also, if the risks were actualized, what would be the cost.
Consider, finally, what is the cost of preparing for/mitigating against the threat.
I’d rather trust our government (hard to do in the current environment) than the Chinese government. I’d rather take these inexpensive actions to mitigate against what could be an existential threat.
