You can get away with most things in the UK nowadays as long as you don’t express politically incorrect opinions against so called diversity.
Hello. Should the Speakers' Corner be banned, that'll truly be the end of freedom of speech in the UK. I'm sure that the people in the UK won't allow it to happen.
Perhaps in the past and even now but many young people have been so indoctrinated through the education system into believing left wing rhetoric that they don’t think that freedom of speech extends to people who don’t agree with them. Things could therefore change in the future.
CHECK YOUR THINKING!!! We laughed when the subject of thought police was mooted ten years ago,
I think that that is the most disturbing change in society. We are not only told how to behave and what to say (and what not to say), but also what we must think. Brexit in the UK has highlighted the level of intolerance amongst certain (mainly left wing supporting) groups as well as by much of the media, towards anyone who doesn’t share their views.
What we have historically seen in religious persecution is not far from spreading into political and social issues.
