Trump's answer when asked why he calls it the Chinese virus: ' because it comes from China'...
[thefederalist.com]

He just said things the way they are, but of course the left has to make a big deal out of nothing...

We can't change the structure and function of English language just because it doesn't fit certain people's political agenda. It's normal and natural to name things after the place of origin:

Spanish Flu
German Measles
Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome
Japanese Encephalitis

The woke crowd is too illiterate to have heard of these diseases and names!

The left as as a group are despicable, but they are not stupid. They have turned our intellectual soft spots into weapons against us, and we’ve been their unwitting accomplices.

“You’re a racist!”
“Am not!”
“Are too!”
“Not true!”
“Prove it!”

By now, the argument is already hopelessly lost, wherever you try to take it.

They hate Trump because he refuses to get sucked into the losing argument. He fights back. Funny thing is, it’s not that hard. If an accusation is grounded in a lie, you don’t defend yourself; you tell the truth.

“I call it the China virus because it comes from China.”

Genius never looked so easy.

Do you think we should punish China because it's the source of the virus, like Tom Cotton suggests?

No.

No. We should punish them because they covered it up for a month, disappeared the doctors who tried to get the truth out, and are still pushing their propaganda. We should punish them for the Cold War enemy that they’ve proven to be.

@SpikeTalon Do you see how using the language "Chinese virus" might stir up such anti-Chinese sentiment, though? I think it's irresponsible of him and I wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional.

@WilyRickWiles
Do you think we should punish hard working white men for being successful?

No.

Do you see how blaming white males for other people’s failures may stir up anti-white male sentiment? I think it is irresponsible of Sanders and I would not be surprised if it is intentional.

@WilyRickWiles You may very well be right about the intentional part. As for the other, maybe reword it to a "disease of Chinese origin".

@Hanno Sanders has nothing to do with this, but if you're going to follow me from thread to thread calling me out for supposedly misrepresenting another Trump quote, I'm going to need you to produce a quote of Sanders "blaming white males for other people's failures."

@Edgework Wow, that would be rich.

@WilyRickWiles
Mmm... Sanders did not say that billionaires should be punished with a wealth tax for not paying their low pay workers more?

I apologise. I sincerely believed that to be his message.

I was merely trying to point out the hypocrisy of your comment.

@WilyRickWiles
You see, I misunderstood what Bernie said. When corrected
I apologise and refrain from such a statement again.
Not difficult at all.

Something you refuse to do.

Says quite a bit about you and me.

@Hanno Let it go.

the reporters only intent was to try to make Trump look like a racist.

You got it.

It is what it is. German Measles, West Nile Virus, Wuhan Virus.

He’s great at making a label stick! Good for him.
