Y'all act like theres a perfect answer for everything. There isnt. Trying to stop infection is one way of stopping deaths. And its a good way. It may have a downside but so do most things. I think this will help people to think about our freedoms and to make them act against the slow theft of them.

Never said there was a perfect solution, but David's remark on the matter contributed nothing meaningful.

I find it interesting that during the SWINE FLU in 2009 (Obama,s reign) very little was done until mid summer!! A much more serious FLU than what we have seen, so far, with the current "KUNG FLU"!!
No "Lock Downs", no toilet paper rush, businesses closing, or any of the things we are currently seeing!! WHY NOW??? I have my own opinion, which doesn't count for much!!!!

There are a fairly large set of people - particularly in the US, who believe what they want to believe, and will fit a few actual facts to support their fantasies, and ignore the forest for the few trees - whether or not those with real knowledge agree with them or not.

David is among those who feel they are somehow smarter than anyone else - even though their credentials are weak to none.

For those who are sure that self isolation is the solution, and have an open mind, they should look at the 1 fact and one interesting question: 1. infection and death rates are in the same range regardless of social distancing, unless there is a totalitarian regime that social distances in time.
2. The Chinese seem to have controlled the infection, which could have happened if they knew it was coming, which we didn't. So the virus had free reign for roughly 10 weeks elsewhere - except maybe South Korea, without social distancing. What intelligent person thinks social distancing could have much effect after that?

I do wish it were so cut and dried. The sad truth is, I had a very successful business that relies on me to be there. Now? I'm confined to quarters due to the province wide ban. I accept this, want my elderly mom to be safe, and do avoid going out as much as possible. But to just "enjoy" sitting at home, not being able to pay bills, noticing the shortages of everything, and wondering what will be left of my business when this is over has led me to check out my office at least every few days. The office I rent is mine alone, used for massage therapy which is sanitized before and after each client, but there is no security in that building. So yes, I go and sit by myself for a few hours here and there to dissuade break-ins. Too bad we're not all multi millionaires...
