The same will apply to humanity. The problem here though, is that in the Western World the birthrate has fallen while in the Islamic world, which includes many muslim nations, the birthrate is rising to unsustainable levels. What's the answer? Education? Yes, to a certain extent. But it's not going to be easy to change 1.4 billion peoples ideology and ignorance!

Interesting points. As to the Islamic population explosion and ideology, I seriously doubt education is even feasible in much the same way as your personal beliefs (skeptical atheist) cannot be "educated" out of you by the Bible thumpers due to your high level of commitment. The same is true of Islamicists, Evangilicals, and any other deeply held belief system, re-education is rather an arrogant construct. There are camps in every one of them that fervently believe everyone else is ignorant. Additionally part of the Islamification of the world includes excessive birth rate. Nope, don't think natural attrition is going to put a dent in the overpopulation challenge.
The Onion is a satirical post. Just saying. Bill Gates however has said he wants to reduce the worlds population through vaccinations. Now that is scary.

I agree about The Onion... however, I think we all know this is serious back room talk which Gates has most likely joyfully participated in.
What do you mean with sustainable... that is the first question you must ask.
We can sustain 10b people for the next 40 years and then we may have some problems as cheap sulphur will be exhausted and food will become expensive...
So there is still some time to resolve... and it does not mean billions will die immediately.... just that we will slowly be forced to reduce our population by natural means as is already happening in much of Europe and Asia.

I firmly believe the food shortage issues are created propaganda. Far too much knowledge exists throughout the permaculture communities to put this false scarcity to rest.
He can make a start with himself and his family- in the name of science!

The term get rid of them would be like a penal colony. Many do not know that is how America was started before the population grew, said that was enough, then Enland opened up Austraila as a penal colony after that. England was smarter than us I guess as it took another couple hundred years to get to a similiar state of affairs as they are now and us too.
Are you sure the SS are not in the Canadian parlament??? Many think so.
@johnlondon I suspect the "penal colony" aspect is true in North America as well as Australia, but far more prevalent in Australia. I do remember funny stories about shipping off the elite's problem offspring to Canada and giving them particularly large land grants to entice them to go and stop embarrassing their kin in merry old England. Lots of them have falsely been historically honored as heroic successful settlers and contributors to the "good" of society, hiding the true reason they settled in areas. Many as well were religious outcasts and excessive "vermin" from the slums of major cities. The Irish Potato Famine also saw massive exodus to the new world also encouraged by the elite.
As to the SS, I have no doubt they are well ensconced throughout all governments. Evil hides in plain sight.
