*The wise man changes himself to better fit the world

The foolish man strive to change the world to better suit himself.

therefore, all progress is made by foolish men.*

That's a saying I once heard. I'm not sure who said it, but I've always liked it, and I think there's a lot of truth to it. We're each very small...just one tiny segment of billions of people. When we vote, our vote really isn't likely to matter. When we strive to influence others, our influence really isn't likely to matter. We're, at best, little ants screaming into a hurricane.

For the most part, trends of culture and societal changes are designed through cultural evolution that we have no power over. Societies change because something in the world has already mandated that human psychology will, for the most part, respond in a certain way.

So, if we're reasonable...of we our actions to be cost-effective in terms of how much energy we want to spend achieving change, we'll likely ignore the world and focus on our own lives and the lives of those close to us.

And that's why so few people vote in local elections...which are, arguably, more important than the national elections far more people vote in...because in local elections your vote is more likely to matter.

So...let's be a little stubborn, unreasonable, and arrogant, together. Let's be a little narcissistic. Let's be little ants, howling into a a hurricane, to all the gods and giants above us, "I WILL BE HEARD!" Let's delude ourselves in believing we can change the world a little...and let's be intelligent when we do so. Let's howl into the storm, because the dumber little ants are already howling into the hurricane...and without those wiser ants howling alongside them...the wiser little ants who know little they do will matter anyway, the stupid ants will be the only ones anyone ever hears.

The question should be "When is "progress," or "change" a good thing, and when is it a disaster? To value "progress" or "change" for its own sake has been the cause of the deaths of hundreds of millions of human souls in history.

Obama's line was "Hope and change." How did that work out? He presided over the absolute worst economy in US history, practically destroyed the Constitution, promoted violence and racism, gave Iran billions of dollars to develop nuclear weapons, played dirty tricks with the election, and collaborated with the Clinton's to sell a fifth of Western uranium reserves to Putin.

Anyone who thinks that any of that is a good thing is a fool. And if unaware of these facts, clearly gets their information from the general media, which the New York Times proudly reports is 87% Democrat, and they have no idea how to get the truth from original sources.

Can you be more specific?

Obama was handed an economic mess created by a Republican administration. Toward the end of his first administration is saw work on infrastructure that had been ignored for many years. In the middle of his second administration I saw in my area a boom in new commercial business building. He was starting to pay down the U.S. debt and handed Trump an economy that was starting to thrive.

"He presided over the absolute worst economy in US history, practically destroyed the Constitution, promoted violence and racism, gave Iran billions of dollars to develop nuclear weapons, played dirty tricks with the election, and collaborated with the Clinton's to sell a fifth of Western uranium reserves to Putin." I would like you to provide facts that prove the above assertions.
