The West has no one else to blame for putting China in a position where they can influence and if necessary blackmail other countries in order to get their own way. The current threats from China against Australia because the latter dare propose an international investigation in relation to the Coronavirus outbreak is a sign of things to come.
The desire by those in the west to live beyond their means and to borrow to do it, the clamour by manufacturers for more and more profit, leading them to move production to such as China. These and other factors have fed China’s economy and created unemployment in the west.
The irony is of course that unbridled capitalism/consumerism has put a communist country in a strong position to be a major influence in the world. Western greed is likely to continue this trend putting our whole lifestyle in increasing jeopardy. The ‘globalisation’ con should be seen for what it is, a plan to make some rich at the west’s expense.

Yes, Capitalists in the West have been much like horses, only too willing to allow a harness and to be set to pull the great weight of the wagon of China. Trump has seen through it.

Very well worded. Perhaps a good step in addressing this economic, cultural, manufacturing imbalance is to use the phrase: Made in China- Leave it in China
This global bully needs to go into the corner for a long time-out.
