These are some of the most heartless comments I think I have ever read. What was the need for the cop to have his knee on the guy's neck at all? The cop had his knee pushed to the guy's neck for several minutes after the guy was clearly unresponsive. What's the purpose in that? If the Cop was trying to be a hero to every racist in America, he succeeded. And before, when the guy was having trouble breathing. Am I supposed not to believe my lying eyes? Good God, where's your humanity? Oh I get. This guy's life doesn't matter, it's all about the politics.

Emotional much? Don't like what could in reality be the truth, even though that doesn't go along with what you choose to believe? We only saw some footage of the incident and have no idea what led up to that cop kneeing Floyd. Also, why does this automatically have to be an issue of race? There are white people out there that get severely beaten and even killed by cops but more often than not those stories don't make top headlines. You assume too much, and exactly what for? Because some of us dare to question things more than others? I don't know, maybe you're content with only having part of the story? In the end, if it comes out for certain Floyd had drugs in his system or there was some other kind of natural death involved, that's going to really shake up the narrative, but regardless I'm sure no details like that would be of any consequence to you.

@SpikeTalon I know what I saw. And it's what everybody else saw. The whole Country saw it. Typical conservative response. There is always a higher truth beyond the simple facts. Ignore your lying eyes and believe the higher truth. Or, lets wait for irrelevant facts. Why does it matter how the guy died? What that Cop did was wrong no matter how you spin it. There was no reason for him to do what he did other than plain inhumanity. The guy was in handcuffs for God's sake. You mean to tell me that four Cops couldn't corral a guy with underlying health conditions in some other way? Common, man! Treating a human as subhuman plain and simple. I didn't say it was about race. I said the Cop's behavior made it look like it was about race. I don't assume anything beyond what I saw. The fact that the guy died just put an exclamation point on it. I would have felt the same had the guy not died. How he died is irrelevant, except maybe legally, the Cop won't face a murder charge. I'm sorry the Country blew up over this and I can't support the luting, but the Cop needs to be brought to justice.

@TyKC I stand by what I previously stated, no one has yet to see all evidence on the matter, and I'm not one to point the finger at others until I see all the evidence and hear both sides of the story. You did make it about race, was referring to your every racist in America comment above, guess you forgot the content of your own comment. I'm all for the cop being brought to justice if it be proven beyond a doubt he was found criminally negligent in his duties.

Lastly, regarding your "typical conservative response" remark, I could say the same about you too except vice versa, but I'm not about to lower myself to that level. I'm Libertarian before being all out conservative, and I'm not a "blue backer" either, but I am known to say the things most people don't want to hear but need to hear anyway.

@Leroy_Dumonde Because this man's human rights were grotesquely violated by a person who is sworn to protect them. It promotes distrust and ultimately chaos, which is exactly what happened. The guy was treated like a dog. He deserves the dignity of innocence before guilt. The Cops aren't judge, jury and executioner. This should be blatantly obvious to anyone claiming to be a Libertarian, but, evidently, not on this thread. The claim that this guy would have likely keeled over because of underlying conditions anyway and not by some action the Cop took defies common sense.

@Leroy_Dumonde I can't tell you why. At some point, it just goes over the line. Some event just has to be the one. This, evidently, was it.

It seems that one thing is true about all these events that run through the media. While emotional reactions and assumptions run fast, the true facts will take weeks, months, or even years to come out.

Thanks for the link to the article. The link led to the official publication of the complaint and the findings.

That they found no physical signs of asphyxiation or strangulation is interesting. As I looked at the video, I couldn't see how Chauvin's knee wasn't causing restriction of blood flow and possibly of air flow. I wonder whether the wording means that they found no physical signs but that other signs of air or blood flow restriction might show in the complete autopsy.

If the blood work finds that Floyd was under the influence of some drug and had a heart attack or stroke because of that drug, the situation becomes very difficult.

Democrats again using any excuse to incite violence against the police and the establishment - regardless of what is true and will be known later, hoping it will prove that the system doesn't work and that we should give up what we know works in favor of socialism.
