It is as if somethings are just not to be talked about. They need no cancel culture of any kind because they are not discussed. Even if some call themselves conservative republicans or liberal democrats or are part of the intellectual IDW, or whatever, few want to hear about things that are part and parcel of your identity that though contrived and artificial, you consider you.
We are all immersed in pop culture daily, like it of not, but most like it. IT is the driving force of daily existence for many. For many it is the only existence of those who do not read or converse in such or any topics like we view on this site.
Pop culture controls the minds of a lot of people, and it is liberal to the core mostly. Even many people capable of deeper understanding and thought reserve aspects of pop culture that are seemingly sacred. Music comes to mind first and foremost, then entertainment.
Maybe this is part of the human condition. Watching documentaries recently on still primitive African tribes, you notice that they are constantly singing and especially dancing through out their everyday lives no matter what they are doing. Maybe this is a primitive form of therapy for them. A mental diversion from their harsh life.
Also their whole and total world view is to preserve their culture and tribal affiliation with their own tribe so that they have a secure place in the world.
Exactly what the leftist do not want America to do for our own country and culture.
In our case to swear of leftist pop culture or maybe create a total and complete "right" culture, might be the desirable and intelligent thing to do.
