What? Now, I admit my last formal training in biology was in the mid 1990ies, but:
A traditional vaccine contains a disarmed version of a virus or bacteria, so that your immune system can learn to recognize it and produce a suitable reaction here and now (that's why fever is a common side effect). That gets logged in the cell memory and should the real virus/bacteria come along your body is better prepared.
The new technology in Covid-19 vaccines acts like a virus. It invades your cells and takes over the machinery - just like virus. Only, instead of producing more of itself, it instructs your cells to produce the protein structure (spikes) that Covid-19 uses to latch onto your lung tissue so effectively. Your immune system is expected to then see and react to this invasion of spikes. That's why the fever comes 6-12 hours after the injection...you gotta make some spikes first.
I too share the fear regarding unexpected long term effects!! Indeed, some short term effects are quite worrying too: Anaphylactic reaction rates 50 times higher than normal vaccines and lately multiple simultaneous blood clots !
About it
