Liberal Jews here and in Israel tend to be less religious. Forty years ago the divide between Israeli and American Jews was not as great as it is today. Netanyahu represents the majority who identify as more religious. Many countries including Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic call for a ban or restrictions on immigration. Austria is calling for immigration restrictions as are other countries due to the "migrant problem". I suppose the increase in violence and the failure to assimilate are considered racist attitudes by some. Good thing Netanyahu isn't racist or he would kick out the 17.7% of Muslims living in Israel.
