LINK The Breitspurbahn: Part 4-7, the Economics of Running Big Trains – Thule Society

This article discusses the economic factors associated with running a network of 3-meter wide train tracks. The Breitspurbahn was originally conceived of by Adolf Hitler and Albert Speer with the intention of forming a new infrastructure for worldwide shipping and passenger travel, and now it is time to consider the possibility of to creating this same network in the not too distant future, except when this system is finally built, the trains will be powered by improved steam locomotive designs.

Most likely partly powered by solar as well. Albert Speer was a genius. He single handedly kept Germany in the war right until the end.
