The Spanish Flu failed to account for African American infections AND asymptomatic infections, leaving us with doubtful mortality rates. The Reuters chart makes no attempt to estimate that error, which is not surprising. More people will tune in if the news is worse. I suggest disregarding news outlets and looking directly at source websites such as WHO, NIH, etc.
