California car crashes decreased by over 50 percent, saving taxpayers $1B: report
Interesting that the headline is about money and not the lives saved. Buried deep in the article, I found this: "Fatal car crashes decreased from 496 to 237 over the same 22 day period, the survey said." These numbers are fatalities in the same magnitude as COVID-19 deaths. No wonder Fox didn't place that in the headline.
We didn't shut the nation down because of the 40,000 deaths on the highways in the US in 2017. Business as usual. No one is afraid to drive to the grocery store at risk of maiming or death, but we are afraid of dying of the newest version of the common cold so much that we shut down the nation???
