If he said it on air, fire him. If he said it on social media well, actions have reactions. (I assume he'd be fired for poor ratings)

I agree on that as well, but the lesson here is that once something is posted on social media it's out there for good, and all actions have reactions. A shame people get canned just for expressing opinions.
