While I don't support the firing decision, I understand the station owners have an obligation to protect their business. If he said it on air, fire him. If he said it on social media well, actions have reactions. (I assume he'd be fired for poor ratings)
I agree on that as well, but the lesson here is that once something is posted on social media it's out there for good, and all actions have reactions. A shame people get canned just for expressing opinions.
