Health care in particular, is built on lies and full of fraudsters (I know first hand, I work in the industry). Mix in $ and politics and you have a pretty toxic cesspool

It was a HUGE MISTAKE to allow government scientists and doctors, who are literally paid by the taxpayers, to apply for patents on their research. It changed the whole dynamics from them being motivated to find actual cures to being motivated to become filthy rich at any ethical cost.
