My concern is that it might result in a "socially engineered" society. Such societies fail (e.g. communism, Islam, Scientology). Social evolution (rule of law, democracy) is messy, but produces better results than does social engineering.
Having said that, I trust the news found on the IDW far more than that from the MSM.

Consolidated control is bad. No matter what group controls it.

Politics are poisoned by money and special interests. And can we please stop calling it "lobbying", its bribery plain and simple.

I do know this much, our current politicians are way beyond being just a little corrupt.

I would need to ponder on that one some more before I could arrive to any firm conclusion.
