Thank you for your response. I see the Green New Deal as going down the same proverbial rabbit hole that we have been down before. I don't want to see so much intrusion in the market and job creation as the government is planning with the new deal.

I guess that I see it differently, I see a huge investment in renewable energy technology that was supposed to also create jobs. I also see many of those investments as failures due to a lack of adequate research and development. Many solar and wind companies failed witch led to bankruptcies. I see the Green new deal following a similar route... new technologies generating job growth while protecting the planet by reducing greenhouse emissions which the HRes inaccurately cites, "the United States has historically been responsible for a disproportionate amount of greenhouse gas emissions, having emitted 20 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions through 2014". The EPA, emissions by country report from 2014 is only 15% with China leading the world at 30%: [epa.gov]
