This is a reply to a comment about one of my posts. The comment appears deleted but ended with, "I don't believe in God.":
Not believing in God is completely understandable and shows independent thought to me. The portrait they have painted leaves me not trusting in their God also.
The image of God we’ve been given couldn’t be any murkier. They can’t say exactly who or what God is, where God is, what God wants from us, then pretend to speak for God. They attribute to God any inconsistencies they can’t explain, almost like ‘because I said so’. 'An entity you can’t see or know that is all loving and you better fear but without question love.' Give me a break. That is not even the God I want. I utterly reject that God.

The above wasn't mine but why remove it? It's somebody's thoughts...it could be debated, ignored, ridiculed...but deleted? Why?

Yeah, I hope no one is making judgement calls about what they consider offensive and removing them from someone else's post.
"Not believing in God is completely" not understandable to me. I, honestly, do not get why some people seem to be proud of "not believing", as if they think themselves stronger, or smarter or something. I can understand not wanting to believe in a God that some people insist he is like. I think God has been misrepresented and misunderstood. Some people apparently claim to know him, but it is evident that they haven't even met him. They seem to be talking about a figment of their own imagination, believing in a god they have made up.
Many that I know have created a god in their own image (imagination) and they are very mad at him. I've heard it said that half the people are mad at God, and the other half don't know, or are afraid to admit, that. God takes lots of abuse from his creatures. Thankfully, he isn't swayed by our approval, because he sees more and is infinitely more wise than us humans. He knows what he is doing, but we all have many questions.
When one looks scientifically at this world, and honestly, how can one conclude there is not an intelligent Designer? The Creator, our creator, has invited us to look for him and promises to be found by us when we seek him with all our heart. Maybe some don't want to find him because their deeds are evil, but, in the end, they, too, will come to know his love.

I don't speak for anyone but myself. I don't believe most are 'proud', they simply reject that God is vengeful, commits mass murder and would play hide and seek for starters.
Yes. Hide and seek as an adult lands you in jail for stalking. I do play it with my grandchildren though.
Hi dmatic, I feel the same way you do, with all of the creatures of this world, plants, animals,humans and all the intricate details of each just blows my mind and I couldn’t disbelieve in a creator if I wanted to because it just Defys logic. I do accept that many don’t believe and are atheists, but that’s fine, I can get along just fine with people who believe or don’t believe, it doesn’t matter to me, but I just hope that this site won’t be walking on eggshells for those who get offended easily because the main reason I joined this site is so I can speak freely without anyone getting their panties in a knot. Let’s hope the admin stand by that promise.
Not sure what comment you were referring to, but I agree with you on that though.
