The numbers of people killed from cops to journalists to regular people. The naivety of the open borders folks never ceases to astound me.

Some of my armchair general friends quibbled with a few technical points but in my opinion they miss the point. The point is that this is right on the other side of a 2,000 mile border with our country. The point is that the government of Mexico has to consider dealing with them in its dealings with us. The point is that these groups can, and do, intimidate those on our side of the border-- not infrequently using that intimidation to persuade those on our side of the border to cooperate with them.
