What is this Momo Challenge thing that has people running around with their hair on fire?
The Momo Challenge appears to be a sequel to the Blue Whale Challenge where children and adolescents get commands from someone online, and follow them for some reason only known to them.
With the Blue Whale Challenge, it was basically brainwashing through subsequently worse and more dangerous daily tasks, which culminated in the final challenge on the 50th day being to commit suicide.
That being said, there are also claims that calling Momo at 3am on Whatsapp leads to demon possession.
If your children don't have cell phones or unsupervised internet access, there isn't much reason for concern. All the more reason to be technology conservative.
The photo is extremely creepy.
I am curious if these are purposefully orchestrated experiments along the lines of MK Ultra.
Moral panic...and a hoax. At least it is more interesting than the Darwinian Tide Pod Challenge!
I'm not so sure it is a hoax. When CNN is telling us it's a hoax, that is enough for me to consider it is something the "powers that be" would prefer nobody look at too closely.
@Catherine I checked it with news agencies across the world when I first heard of it, it's not new, The figure they show is actually a picture of a really weird sculpture Mother Bird a Japanese sculptor created in 2016.
Here is one link.

It's one of those things that everyone knows of someone who knows someone it happened to but...but...
