During the height of the civil rights movement armed African American vets escorted freedom riders as protection from the KKK and local police. If it weren't for these unacknowledged heroes for more people would have been murdered. This is not covered in the history books because it does not fit the narrative that the publishers wish to follow.

The blacks are the ones who need the guns the most as they often live in dangerous neighborhoods that are invested with drugs gangs and criminals. Seems they would want to have the ability to defend themselves. I for one believe they should have that ability.
