Remember that the next time you hear that cliche phrase "Invisible man in the sky", keep in mind that this phrase turns any argument into a straw man.
Nobody believes in some man in the sky. Read the last section of Principia Mathematica sometime. Isaac Newton was a very devout Christian. And he is considered the father of modern physics. Or is he just a mindless religious ideologue as well?
Agreed, itβs similar to the flying spaghetti monster. I am amazed by the seemingly common desire among atheists to criticize, belittle and question the intelligence of people of faith. What happened to live and let live?
@MADcHATTER That's fair. I would like both sides to abandon ridicule. We won't get anywhere that way. And if we of faith really had faith, we would just set a better example and live in accordance with that faith. But good God the funny looks I get when I suggest we practice what we preach. People are the worst, faith or lack thereof...
@MADcHATTER Threatening your life for your beliefs is unnacceptable
Yes, and by today's standards he would widely be regarded as a heretic due to some of his beliefs.
