Excellent points . History is at best , cultural propaganda . I know that the strict definition requires unbiased deference to real events , but it doesn't come out that way . The same applies to Journalism . Events pass through many filters on the way to the media outlets .

One of my friends from when I worked in Talk radio had an interesting view . He said that destructive instruments , like the Federal Reserve Note , have a service life of about 40 years . He reasoned that it takes that long for all of the stupid people to die off . The United States went off the Gold Standard in 1972 . We are on borrowed time . If people don't see $22 Trillion in debt as being on the ramp of hyperinflation , they are blind . There is nothing stopping this from going the way of Zimbabwe .

Preaching to the choir , but I'm sure we are all used to that , but now . The hardest thing for me to admit was that I can't stop this train wreck.
