Why do people fear being called a Racist when they know they arent one? Does someone else labeling you something really take something away from you? Is it white guilt? Do you have an ancestor who owned slaves? No? Then there is no reason to fear. Its like when you were a kid and some other kid accused you of having cooties. You know you didnt have them. And when you got home you didnt bother jumping in the bathtub and scrubbing yourself raw did you? If you did then you have problems. We have black people who say youre racist just because youre white. Because of the color of your skin...the one thing they hated being hated for and theyre going to hate you for it. So theyre being racist but you can't say that to them...only white people are racists. Thats bullshit and they know it.

I no longer care if someone calls me racist. I know I'm not one. Theyre going to call me it anyway. Yeah, ok...whatever! Prove it!

Some people do have a problem because they value their social score too much. It's understandable though, it can destroy people and their career. I agree with you though, for me personally I don't care but it's very rare I am in conversation about such topic so it may not apply to me as much.

I heard Peterson say something like this the other day, "To be free in your speech you must let go of the outcome". I love this because it ties in with a personal philosophy of mine in wider life but it gives you a particular power over what you have to say - There may be consequences but you learn to articulate the point moving forwards and formulate your opinion in a more concise manner. It doesn't have to please the person it's directed towards.

The perception and fear of being publicly shamed (rightly or wrongly) and possibly ostracized from the group is a powerful motivator to comply with whatever orthodoxy prevails. This is explained by eminent moral psychologists such as Jonathan Haidt. It was also clearly advocated as a tactic by people such as Saul Alinsky to shut down opposing views when you're losing the argument. This is why many activists, especially on the left, will resort to personal insults and epithets rather than using reasoned argument. In sporting parlance, the tactic is to "play the man, not the ball".

Races exist and are not "social constructs". A race is simply a subgroup of a species that is easily identifiable from other subgroups. Race formation was due to geographic isolation for millenia.

Racism initially was defined as prejudicial dislike/hatred of a particular race. The most obvious current example of that kind of racism is anti-white racism by just about everyone--including many whites. 😟

race is a social construct made up by a elite group who whould have a nother believe that they are inferrer to the elite. so the only way forward for non racist people is to show the science behind race. there isn’t any scientific evidence that shows that we are different from another person.

If someone has integrated their shadow in a healthy way, their buttons cannot be pushed. This is key to healthy self-esteem.

Any form of name-calling is pretty ignorant.

People usually just get more wound up when they can't get the upset they so desperately crave out of you.

I'm with you on that.
