What gives me pause is that the perpetually offended class seem to be a little in the lead in this ideological civil war, not because they have better ideas (they have no workable ideas), or can present a workable plan for the country but because their base is so indoctrinated that they don't even consider that there could be a voice of reason on the other side so we get Beto almost beating Cruz in Texas. That may be a harbinger. Also consider the left smells the blood in the past ater and aren't pret nding to be moderate anymore. They embrace socialism, gun confiscation, 3rd trimester abortion and complete govt control. They want to increase size of SCOTUS and eliminate electoral college because they can never win a wat of ideas. They have to use Stalinist tactics or a liberal court to go around the Constitution on and will of the people. With the intellectual infancy of most of the voting populace I am very concerned about the future of the country.

Yes I feel the same way. I am regularly attacked for my support of Trump, called names, had my sanity questioned, my intelligence questioned etc. The personal attacks don't bother me because I know progressives (liberal) thinking is emotion based. They go through life looking to be offended and what offends them changes on a day to day basis. Like a child they will verbally strike out because they don't understand that there is validity and knowledge in different opinions, that to reach something near truth, all have to put out what they believe, and why they believe it. Libs will always do the first but rarely the second. They are not wired to debate, only to attack. When I don't give invectives back and instead calmly ask them to back up, with examples, their claims, it throws them off as the conversation suddenly ends with the typical parting shot of ' drink some more Kool aide" or the ever popular " you need help". I find it frustrating because I really do enjoy debate when there are two thinking people involved. More and more finding that articulate dissenting voice is getting harder and harder to find. I have only been with this community for a few days but already I have seen a great improvement in the quality of the discussion.

The name-calling is inevitable. Sadly some leftists are escalating things and starting to vandalize cars, homes and committing battery upon conservatives with whom they disagree. Good example is that kid in Australia Who smashed an egg over the head of an Australian politician with him he disagreed. The politician was conservative

You can tell when they start with the you're a racist, bigot, homo-phobe etc... at first they have all these great things at least in their head until someone points out the obviousness of errors then it should be wow thank you for teaching me something i didn't know or understand instead its well you're a bigot, racist etc
