I understand what you're saying, and I agree. Candace Owens clearly causes cognitive dissonance among leftists. According to their world view, an intelligent, well-educated black woman should be firmly in their camp. Candace isn't.

Of course, Owens might have remained in the Left's camp if they hadn't abused her so badly. Their abuse caused cognitive dissonance for Owens, which she resolved by switching her allegiance. Again, no degree in head-shrinking or exhaustive one on one interviews needed. Owens described the circumstances which led to her conversion articulately and in great detail.

Owens is psychologically healthy. Healthy people respond to cognitive dissonance by examining their schema and reorienting themselves.

@MADcHATTER - no need to over complicate it. Calling conservatives racists against black people has become a knee jerk reaction from the left. Believing that Candace Owens, a black conservative woman is a racist against black people is contradictory.

Another example. The left calls conservatives Nazis. There are instances where Ben Shapiro, wearing his Jewish skull cap, is called a Nazi. This is contradictory (I'll allow for incredible ignorance from the children).
