I just saw this: [oann.com]
Since this is a place for hard truths and no PC-ing --- this is damn frightening. Some hard core Muslims are systematically building a parallell societal structure and are obviously not in the long run going to settle with "taking care of" their own only.
Historically, such developments always lead to societal collaps, war, and/or a hostile take over from within. I could cite, e.g., Greek, Roman, Mongol, and other examples, but you only need to read a world history book and see for your self…
The obvious answer would, of course, be to elect other politicians, but the system/media makes it near-impossible...
The best solution I’ve seen to your question is to simply make it as difficult as possible for them to do so, but only in a positive manner. Walk up to them and ask for directions even if you know better than they do where you’re going. Take a walk through their neighbourhoods (with a few friends if you think it necessary), but clearly in a friendly manner. Check out their shops and restaurants. It’s pretty hard to form your own society when the already existing one is persistently and politely reminding you of itself.
@Edwardsson Thanks. From my own experience they accept it pretty well once they see that you’re not hostile towards them. They’re just not very trusting initially in certain places
Here, in the UK, for some time now, the accepted dogma has been in favour of a form of separatist multiculturism. Different immigrant groups were encouraged, via government policies, initiatives and representative bodies, to keep themselves unchanged from their original culture and cultivate parallel societies. This of course was justified as "tolerance and diversity". Needless to say it hasn't worked. It has only caused intolerance and division! Both David Cameron and Angela Merkel admitted as such. Therefore we now have officially sanctioned Sharia courts in areas of the UK, residents of various diaspora that never integrate with the indigenous population and the resulting increasing tensions. This is compounded by identity politics.
There seems no quick answer and discussions around immigration must not be reduced to just for or against. It's far more complicated than that. There are multiple questions to be asked:
If you get a chance, I recommend you read a book called "Exodus" by Sir Paul Collier. It's a very balanced assessment of where we are now and possible approaches in the future.
@Edwardsson Ah yes. I've seen quite a few articles about the situation in Malmo. But it sounds like your government is determined to carry on being as PC as possible?
@Edwardsson I recall a particular Swedish politician recently saying that Swedish culture was rubbish or dead, or something like that? In other words "Swedish bad - immigrant good"!
The prevailing attitude both in Sweden and here in the UK, seems to be that if you are not comfortable with so much diversity then what you need is...more diversity!
I fear the UK is catching up with Sweden fast!
@Edwardsson Such a tragedy! I visited Stockholm many years ago (1979 - I was in the Royal Navy at the time) and was struck by what a beautiful city it was.
The black panthers tried doing something similar to this in a bygone era. If they behave then great. Otherwise, record them impersonating police (telling people how they can dress, suggesting that certain areas are no-go, etc...) and have them prosecuted.
