Looks like there are no indictments in Mueller's report. None of the indictments had to do with "Trump-Russia collusion."
Does this affect President Trump's odds of winning reelection in 2020?
The primary decision of who will win the next election will be the economy. Unless the other candidate is so far out there that most individuals would not even consider them. If the economy is doing well, Trump will win. If the economy tanks, than the democrat will win.
I agree. My initial reaction was that it makes it much more likely that he wins in 2020, but then I had the same thoughts you just expressed. I think the number one factor will be the economy. However, I do think the Mueller investigation will give Pres. Trump some ammo for attacking the Democrats. This investigation has been in the news about every day for the past 2 years and was pushed by Democrats--it has been a total waste of resources. While the economy will be what tips the scales, this will help destroy the credibility of Democrats. So, I suppose I would say that the investigations makes it only slightly more likely that Pres. Trump wins in 2020.
He has been saying all along that it was a witchhunt and the fact that nothing came of this investigation backs him up. The Democrats look desperate. Now Congress will continue their investigations as well as states attorneys general. It is a witchhunt. They cannot get over the fact that he won the election and they do not want him to be able to function fully as president so they pester him with investigations and subpoenas. They also seek to undermine faith in him by questioning his intelligence, sanity and honesty. Itβs despicable
They used it as long as they could but it removes some possible quills from their quiver.
I agree. I think it has taken a toll on whatever credibility the Democrat establishment had after the Bernie fiasco. This will definitely give Trump some firepower on the campaign trail. He will have a consistent attacking point that they cannot refute.
Maybe now they can can start looking into these βsecret courtsβ that allowed the FISA warrants!
I hope so. I am still puzzled about how FISA courts are still deemed constitutional. Granted, I do not know a ton about them.
I don't think it will be an issue.
The Democrats will be quick to forget about it and run on the new green deal and other socialist nonsense, garbage policy.
The Republicans have their work cut out for them and won't risk running anyone who's going to take their momentum away by making a serious run against someone who's gotten more people interested in politics than ever. Either that or fade in to obscurity once the new democrat jesus comes to save the party with a poster child in the white house.
