I love history. This happens to be quite the article, written by someone who knows what they're talking about.

I highly recommend the read.

I read The Gulag Archipelago when I was 22, in 1976. Then I starting reading about the women's prisons and it was too much insanity, I had to stop halfway through the book. Lately I've been thinking that I should reread these books. Maybe now, after all I know about the Nazi death camps, I can stomach them. I really don't know who was more evil, Hitler or Stalin, but I often lean towards Stalin.

Stalin and Mao were way worse than Hitler. But all of them were dangerous for their ideals.

Hitler was the popular one. Stalin was the skillful one. Mao was the tyrant. In all, hundreds of millions of people suffered the consequences and were either starved or murdered for standing against, or following along with, communist rule.

What an amazing combination! Hillsdale is a great source of information and I love Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Iā€™m in the middle of Gulag archipelago at this moment. I did take a quick look and I will guarantee you that I will read it to completion. The horrors of the Soviet union are horrific and every American should be well aware of them. Jordan Peterson is afraid that we move in a direction that could lead to something like that again.

And it's not too outlandish a fear for us to move in such a direction. Especially looking in to the "ways and means" of some of these newest proposals.
