So. Is there anything to actually discuss, regarding this whole Smollett fiasco, or are we all pretty much in agreement this is our f*cked up new normal?

Omg!! I’m a schmo and at the end of the breaking news report even I knew it was fake. The trouble with criminal calculation is that you have to be wickedly clever and anticipate where a mind might go with facts. Jussie is to self absorbed and stupid. Pisses me off to no end. Why was all his charges dropped? I have never seen this done before? Will it start a new precedent on crime?

I believe there is something else going on behind the scenes, its something to do with the upcoming mayoral election...dirty Chicago politics.

I think we need to stop giving him airtime. Look over here...not over there. False Flag.

Very true.

Maybe the feds will proceed with their charges re: the hate letter and not be quite as complicit as Chicago.

A while ago my son was telling me about Empire being an engaging drama

Just last night he texted me saying "Remember how I said Empire was good... Nevermind"

There is a heck of a lot to discuss but we'd be preaching to the choir. Smollet is a media darling, a LBTGQ darling, a "person of color" darling, Michelle, Ellen and Oprah adore him as do the women of The View and The Talk, Malia is a huge fan, and he probably has already agreed to pitch for Kamala Harris and Beto for 2020. He may even be the keynote speaker for the 2020 Democrat Convention.

If I could “like” this twice, I would!

He now gets to play his biggest role in this fantasy. Only one person I know would have the power to allow a racial divide like Smollett created and allow it to fester like an open wound. Barack Hussein Obama.

Sadly, I 100% agree with you sir.

It will be interesting to see how the Social justice celebrities, who had mental breakdowns when they found out it was a hoax, and leftist media reaction to it: will they actually believe he is innocent and the trial against him was a right wing lynch mob as it is being portrayed by the lawyers, and push that lie, or will they have suspicious injustice has happened?

Even if Jessie can't identify his attackers, as he claims, he knows they weren't white.

I’d imagine that just as the left would like to erase historical fact, this will just provide them a toehold to latch onto their false truths and wholeheartedly accept the lies.

@thewaywayback79 it is amazing how bold Smollett is being declaring he is fighting for social justice on the steps of the court house, i think, which shows he's not backing down. He's going to push that myth and how many people will buy it. Most of the people I know haven't even heard of it and by the time they do it will be the left wing version.

Well the good news, Smollett gets to face down his accuser every morning in the mirror.

This is not the new normal. This is the same normal that we have seen since Obama took office. Hillary belonged in prison. The Colorado human rights commission conspired to screw over a baker because their beliefs in order to make an example of them. Antifa roam the streets and not prison cells, and so on. IF you are woke, you walk

I completely agree with you, but this is one of the first, higher profile situations (outside the Clinton corruption scandal) where undisputed proof was provided and guilt was fairly uncontested by all sides (by sides I’m referring to the MSM monsters who are running the show, it seems), the accused was indicted and the case was virtually shut down....records SEALED, to add insult to injury. That’s a new level of disgusting.

I don't know what happened with that--even Rahm Emanuel spoke negatively about it. I am shocked that he is sticking to his clearly BS story.

I’m disgusted but not shocked, unfortunately. That, in itself, is sad.

There's almost always something to discuss when it comes to issues like that. The question is, how much longer are Americans going to sit back and not scrutinize these things more?

My guess is, those who have been silent for far too long will finally have enough and we’ll start seeing the emergence of small cell militia. I always knew it would happen at some point, but I prayed we’d be long dead and buried. Sometimes I wonder if we’ll make it out of this decade!
