The recent terrorist attack in NZ has caused much discussion about right wing extremism. The manifesto alleged to have been written by the attacker has the following statements:
*Conservatism is corporatism in disguise. I want no part of it.
*It is profit and profit alone that drives them, all else is secondary. Not a thing has been conserved other than corporate profits.
*Conservatism is dead. Thank God. Now let us bury it and move on to something of worth.
*Don’t be stale, placid and boring. No one is inspired by Jeb Bush.

So if you want to believe what he says, you will. If you believe someone who would do this is mentally unbalanced, and don't take their ramblings as factual or logically sound, then you will.

Historically speaking, over a wide range of terrorist groups, the degree to which terrorist suffer from mental disease or defect is less than the populations from which they are drawn. Few terrorists (of any group) suffer from mental disease, nor do they suffer from the misuse of alcohol or drugs. In other words, attemtping to explain the issues away as mental problems is an attempt to ignore the issues. Terrorists are terriffying precisely because of their belief systems.
@QuigginReport What terrorist group are your attributing this too? It is my impression it is one shooter linked so far. Definitely not part supported by KKK or some other group.
Extremism is extremism. It is not a right or left issue, it is a mental issue. These attacks will continue as long as divisive politics reign supreme as they do worldwide today. We need to demand civilty and compromise at the highest levels and stop all the "my side" "your side" crap!!

ideally a good point . If not total fantasy. We are dealing with a 1400 year old ideology that incorporates a complete way of life sprirtually
& politically dictated by the prophet Muhammad , the Koran & hadith . Which claims to be the true and final will of God. Islam needs a major refermation. ..Until then nothing will change.
in the manifesto i noticed he was inconsistent when referring to himself. he would switch between "We"and "I" leading me to believe it was not a solo effort

All the evidence to date shows he did this alone, much as Anders Breivik did his operation absolutely alone. However, it is fair to say that he considers himself a part of a larger belief system.
@QuigginReport who was the other 3 arrested with him? that has disappeared from the narative
@DerekRants The other three were released. They had nothing to do with the event.
