I once posted; on FB, that our average IQ had dropped since I was a kid - over 20 points down! Average in the 60's was 120's, many in the 140's! Average is now in the mid-90's.

A fellow replied that ... that could not be true because people were not reporting feeling dumber! I said he proved my point!

Depends on what kind of stupid you want to try and fix.

Behaviors can be molded through multiple methods of positive reinforcement.

Thoughts can be fixed with the right kind of nourishment of the mind.

The heart can be fixed with love and patience.

Stupid... I'm assuming here... can be fixed like anything else when broken down in to its core parts.

The bigger question, I believe, is how do you make people want to actually know and accept the truth and reality. Which... I'm not sure is possible. Not without violating human rights laws.

If you’re an existentialist (and I am) then you believe (as I do) that stupidity, insanity and ignorance are the base condition of life. They’re not something life disease or brokenness, but instead they are more like the default and intelligence, understanding and sanity are the mysteries of life we have still yet to conquer. Can all people develop out of these infantile and basic conditions? I suppose the key word here is “can”. CAN they? Maybe. But WILL everyone develop beyond these? The answer is obvious. I doubt I could ever have an answer to the question of can stupid always be “fixed”. I do hope I’ve invested some decent insight.
