In general I have no problem with people "identifying" themselves in whatever way they want. I expect that whatever the explanation they are for the most part just trying to make sense of their life and I have no need to impose my understanding of their situation on them - it doesn't affect me and my criticism of their choices is most likely just going to upset them rather than achieve any positive impact.

But with that said, in those situations where some* of these people a pushing for changes that will affect me then I am firmly against such moves. I don't need to spill hate and bile on people and get upset with anybody who thinks they fit some special gender category, in order to oppose it. Like anybody, they should be allowed to do whatever they want so long as it doesn't impact on other people.

*"Some" is important because it's always the vocal minority on one side, who get all the exposure and lead the other side to generalise about them.

I think the simple answer is to refuse to recognize them.
Simply ignore them.
I recognize two types of people, Male people and Female people.
Any other kind of “people” are non-entities that I am unequiped to recognize.
