My grandson called me last year and ask,"what would you think if I joined your old Department, Grandpa". My single word answer was "Don't". My old department, which is in the Pacific Northwest, is now commanded by an affirmative action person. I understand the dangers of police work. If you are not supported by the command staff, the dangers increase drastically.

What's an LEO?
Command staff goes all the way up to the mayor for municiple police officers.
@Lickspittle Law Enforcement Officer, covers all ranks in law enforcement. the Mayor is NOT LEO
@Serg97 I see. I think the point in the video was that the lack of LEOs was due to the lack of support from the city council, mayor's office and the media. Would be recruits just aren't opting for it because of the scapegoating and experienced officers are opting out much earlier than they normally would otherwise.
