So far , my first day without Facebook is very pleasant . I clicked delete , last night . I know they give me 30 days to change my mind . This is a decision a year in the making. Delete . Final Answer .

Not being a smart ass or trying to be sarcastic but if you need to talk about it with others are you really sure you're ready to go cold turkey on FB? I mean you even said it took a year to pull the trigger. I hate it too overall, but it still has its uses. There is some value there. Maybe I'm wrong or just too chicken to quit and this is just all circular reasoning because I'm just too weak to do it. lolwut

I kept running into problems , trying room get my file . Since it is only a copy of my file , I decided to just cut the cord

I want to get rid of my Facebook. I hardly ever use it anymore except to send messages to family and friends I've met in my travels. Florida, Washington, Texas, Oregon, Alaska... Lots of jobs a lot of places and a lot of people who I like to be able to get a hold of in case I want to catch up and say hey. If I could keep my messenger and ditch my page, I'd be all about it.

Facebook collected nearly 1,GB off data and Messenger over 400 MB . I got fed up with it when I read the permissions. They can access messages , make phone calls , use the camera , all without my knowledge . Facebook is an identity thief .

Facebook anonymous ? 😉 it's a 12 steps thing.

I'm sure we can come up with an excellent program . My first step would be telling Mark Zuckerberg to pull my finger .

Good job. I deleted mine yesterday as well. Now there's some info on there my daughter could use but i'm unclear as to whether or not accessing it within the 30 days would negate the deletion lol. Do you remember if that's the case? I just skimmed over that stuff 'cause i was busy with something else.

They do make it confusing enough . I've talked with people over the years that say the profile never goes away .

@Georgesblogforum
Terms and Services fine print details that you can delete your account but they don't have to fully remove it from their databases. Some sort of intellectual property negation clause buried in there deep.. Almost everybody has one of those, anything you make an account to be able to log in to.

@SpaceWillie2000 so basically it's an exercise in futility. Good to know. Danka
