With many in the world reeling over the destruction of Notre Dame Cathedral, I ask a few questions of the sentiments of my fellow IDW Members:

  1. Does anyone have any information on alleged arsonists apprehended, with fuel cans?

  2. Does anyone think this could be an 'Easter Gift' from President Macron for the Yellow-Vest Movement's continued protests and their perceived dissonance?

Theres no way this was an accident.

I think it's a little soon to make that assumption. There was restoration work going on. It's certainly not out of the question. Let things die down. The truth will come out.

Maybe so, but I've worked in construction in one form or another my entire life and never, ever, was there an intended heat source or flame. And for it to have to ability to become unmanageable I have strong doubts. Even if it was intentional the Muslim loving PC crowd will never let it out.

  2. It would provide a massive distraction.

Lets see what rebuilding brings. My money says the rebuilding will include a mosque.
