Iā€™m concerned about the unintended consequences of releasing people who cross the border illegally into sanctuary cities, but the more I ponder the idea the more I think it may be helpful in stimulating some responsible legislation. Perhaps a schedule of release by month would help make the point. For example, May could be San Francisco month, June would be Chicago month, etc.

It was a solid statement from Trump. They have been saying we welcome illegals since he was sworn in. The moment he offers to bring them to places that have said this they all back down. It is hysterical. All in all, just deport them to Europe and be done with it.

Unfortunately it's a good idea AND a bad idea at the same time. Bad because of what these rundown, overloaded cities are already going through but good because it will reinforce the fact that immigration as a whole needs to have limits.

And perhaps these virtue signaling idiots could stand behind what they so easily preach. Yup, they are all crying foul now!

Send them back where they come from or you will be the taxpayer without any benefit

If the dems will not be reasonable and help deal with illegals coming into the country then Trump just gave them a lot of incentive to do something. They are on record for a building a wall and getting control of illegals entering the country. With the change of power they have since done a 180 on border security. This game of chess is a joke. The dems have sat and whinned since Trump won . They refuse to do anything for the people. All the country loses as these elected officials fight like teenagers.

Until we change our intentionally bad laws and build a real wall. Sending the economic alien invaders and their costly overhead to the democrat controlled alien havens seems like a stroke of political genius. Load em up and move em out!

That was my first reaction as well (after I stopped giggling about the Dem's apoplexy). I then realized that these people are going to be released NO MATTER WHAT because of the ridiculous clusterfuck of laws requiring it. So why not do the "humanitarian" thing and take them to their most ardent defenders?

Some people need to learn through experience that bad ideas are bad...I like your idea.

I just had another thought, should they post the exact number dropped off in those cities to try and track crime increases or will that only fuel the counter rhetoric that it's not that bad?

Indeed, Statistics will lend fuel to an already raging fire.

That Kindlin..! LOL..

Brilliant smart idea let's really see the truth!

Bravo...it is all about the moment... the emotion... but no one thinks about consequences. Even now, at the at the Texas Border, Thirty Congolese migrants are now in quarantine for the Ebola Virus. No one thinks of the approaching desperation that will naturally set in when one considers human nature. They will soon become very poor...even here, and will soon take; will soon commit crimes; will soon attack out of this; the insane ideology is nothing more than a legislated Human Invasion that will challenge our laws; our constitution; our culture; customs; traditions; values; and promises to Destroy the West as we know it. But rest assured, all will fail. And they have already begun to act.. LOL. Wait and See..!

How about we end sanctuary cities and start actually enforcing the immigration laws.

What is the first step in ending a sanctuary city? Do the US Marshalls go in and arrest noncompliant mayors or do they go straight for the governor for not keeping his state in order? We all know Trump has stones, but that seems like a bridge too far even for his brand of overreaching.

@JayKane Quite simple, shutoff all federal funding to the states they are in and watch the perverbial shit hit the fan. Second, shutoff federal aid to the illegals themselves.

@JB313, again, pc/identity politics and an activist judiciary are the reason we can't cut off funds. Public perception. People are SO QUICK to jump on Trump as the evil, when he's responding to the evil. But, it's their evil, and they like their own evil. The system is broken.

@chuckpo I couldn't care less about the pc/activist culture. The fux to this will be painful for everyone. But it has gotten to that point. Shutting off the money will force drastic changes quickly. Yes it will be painful, but the gains will be worth it. Shut down the border, round up the ones here and get them out. We need to take care of our own.

@JB313 Whether you care or not has no bearing on the real world effects of judicial activism. The liberal appointments to the current federal bench are in open revolt to this sitting president who is currently flipping the balance on federal courts with the unprecedented number of federal appointments that are up for renewal in his term.

@JB313, oh I agree with you. I may not have made that clear. But, that avenue is being cut off politically--literally cut off. How do you get around that, but to go through the process to win your right to do it? And, you have enough republican cowards who can't stomach the backlash, so Trump literally can't do it. Do you agree with that?

@chuckpo Unfortunately that is true. We need to find candidates who are not afraid.

@JayKane The actions need to be taken to the true courts and not the pc progressive kangaroo courts. I also send emails to my reps and senators as well. If more people would do that it would change. The only reason the progressives get their way is because too few of us are silent.

Once those old, antiquated laws are amended. There is just too much emotional fat developed on them.
