This cathedral was heated for 700 years by burning wood and coal.

The Jacobins badly wanted it to be destroyed during the Reign of Terror. They didn't get it, but renamed it "The Temple of Reason".

Napoleon ended the French Revolution and acquired the never-ending hatred of those same Jacobins.

I'll wait for more evidence. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar boys.

Does that cigar ever get accidentally lit?

The simple fact that we can speculate on the possibility it was IslamicFacists once again is the CRIME! They are so prolific in their attacks that is just a given they did do it! They did do this, which is more horrific and done all the time!

Maybe

Or maybe it was an old building with lots of wood to burn and old electrical wiring

Most YouTube videos are someone's opinion and not even up to the low standards of journalism

Eight hundred year old oak does not catch fire without and accelerant according to their expert--and I believe it. You can not drive a nail into 50 year old oak.

@MarPep having lived in the mountains I can tell you that oak not even as old as 800 years old is hard to start. We always had to start the fire with cedar. Then we put the oak log on and it would burn all night. It is a slower burning wood than ceder. One thing I read also was that a few days before this attack happened there were plans found at the church on burning it.

I don't like speculation and conspiracy theories. How am I even supposed to know if this video is legit? I've never heard of this "Strager than Fiction News" and at first glance at their site, it looks like they like to promelgate conspiracy theories and extreme rhetoric. Not saying I trust MSM either, but...

I just would like more information from more sources before I'm willing to believe this, or jump on the "Muslims did it" band wagon.

Do you have any other sources?

Wait as long as you wish. You will need to investigate using non MSM sources--sources that are owned by the same folks who have brought in the "immigrants", and who have openly admitted their desires for elimination of Christianity and Islam through war, and of races through miscegenation.

@MarPep I've never seen anyone calling for any of that. Who are you referring to?

I tend to trust the sources that are just a step or two outside the mainstream, but still have recognition as good organizations. Like National Review or Daily Wire, for instance. I still don't trust them completely, however. As for the MSM, including Fox, you used to be able to count on them to at least not outright lie, even if their selective reporting and phrasing was biased... thanks to Trump derangement syndrome, that's not even true anymore.

But also when it's just some random YouTube channel created by who knows who, saying things that are unvarified, I can't help but be skeptical.

It's hard to know who to trust anymore.

@jnaatjes find out what the Coudenhove-Kalergi plan is.

When it was first reported to be burning... during 'Holy Week'.. Most people's first thought ? Arson. Why did the media misrepresent the facts to imply it was caused by the renovations that were happening far from where the fire broke out? My personal thought? Muslims methodically getting rid of all signs of Chirstianity in Europe. They press to be the only religion on the planet. They are in no hurry. They will not stop

In some videos, the flames did seem to be a little over done. The smoke was oddly coloured as well - more yellow than grey. If it wasn't an accident, it would explain why the soft hand was used by 1st responders. I'm glad no artifacts we destroyed and my apologies to the firefighters if letting it burn was the best answer to achieve that result but was the fire left to burn to fully destroy any residual accelerent ???

Chief Architect? The thing is 800 years old...

I caught that about the architect, but I think he was referring to the renovations.
