I am amazed just how much of this "helping the homeless" has become an industry. In order to satisfy the downtown merchants and hoteliers mayors and city councils often approve the building of homeless shelters in one or more parts of their cities and thus concentrate those homeless individuals who soon roam into neighborhoods and create more petty crimes. Often times those religious organizations make significant money off every bed in those centers. For those homeless individuals who are able to work the rules of the shelters make it impossible to do so. So much for personal redemption.
