Disney will not be releasing "Song of the South" in it's streaming service.
The decision makers at Disney have succumbed to the disease of self-censorship. That there is no courage to simply acknowledge a point of view from the 1940s from which most have moved on is a sad commentary on the effects of PC culture.
I wonder how many other classics will fall into the "PC no-watch zone" for fear that we are not smart enough to understand that films reflect some of the attitudes of the times in which they were made.

I saw that film when I was a young child. For the most part I remember the animated parts the best and it was not until I saw the film again that that I grasped the central theme. Walt Disney always had a way of teaching us the meaning of life.
