Easy solution, everyone gets ONE SIX YEAR term, no repeats. Stager elections every two years. They won't be in long enough to become too corrupt!!!

That's what Mark Twain said . " Diapers and politicians should be changed often , and for the same reason ."

@Georgesblogforum I never heard that one but it is a keeper.

Republicans wouldn't investigate. There's some pretty questionable stuff on their side too. As citizens, however, we should all be outraged that we enrich elected officials. We're not paying them enough for them to be filthy rich. The corruption is soffocating, we know it, and yet we do nothing. Why do we do nothing? Wouldn't it be interesting if the reason we don't do anything is because some shadowy group created a distracting ideological charade that divides us into two emotionally-militant groups hell-bent on protecting OUR SIDE from the other...

People want this corruption . They vote for the candidate they believe most likely to steal for them . They call it "representing their interests"

@Georgesblogforum, okay, that's funny. BUT we don't really control the vote or who we vote for. If there are two legitimately good candidates (when did that ever happen?), it's a win, one good one--one bad one is easy. But, what we get is two bad candidates to vote for. Would you like the corrupt red or the corrupt blue? Wait, what? We're stuck. Vote for corruption, vote for corruption, or don't vote and allow corruption? Tough position.

@chuckpo Get away from the cities and get as independent as you can . Best way to stay out of the line of fire .

@Georgesblogforum, hahahahaha. I want to live by you. I'll grab my rifle when you grab yours...

@chuckpo I can dot the 'i' s in Minute Maid at 100 yards with a .22 rifle .

I doubt that many in political office can stand close examination of their financial and political affairs.

So many possibilities . Sen. Diane Feinstein's husband getting rich off the failed high speed rail project . The politicians that got money out of the bankrupt nuclear project in SC . How many politicians took bribes from drug cartels and human traffickers ?

I just want to see us all band together and say "I am not paying taxes until you use them for us the tax paying citizens." I just miss the good days of the Boston Tea Party.

Let's look into Biden's son and his business dealings while we're at it.
